Hi there! I'm Lenka, the founder of EPIC Mom Coach and, most importantly, a proud mom to my wonderful daughter. Life has been a wild and beautiful ride since I stepped into motherhood, and I want to share a little bit of my journey with you.
With a Master’s in Economics and years of experience in fast-paced corporate environments, I’ve always thrived on solving problems, building systems and helping teams succeed. But nothing compares to the challenges and rewards of motherhood, which has taught me patience, self-compassion, and resilience in ways I never imagined.
I’m an optimist at heart, fueled by coffee, great food, adventure, and a love for life’s simple joys—whether it's exploring new destinations, relaxing at a spa or spending time in nature. Living by the sea brings me peace, and I cherish moments with loved ones, especially hosting gatherings where good food and connection come together. When I am not navigating life’s demands, you’ll likely find me at the gym, in my garden, or planning my next adventure.
But my biggest passion lies in understanding people—what makes us tick, how our minds work, why we behave or react in certain ways, and how we can grow from those experiences. I’ve always been drawn to psychology and empathy, fascinated by the complexities of human emotions and interactions. However, it wasn’t until I became a mom that these interests turned into a true calling, as I saw firsthand how our behaviours and responses—especially under stress or exhaustion—shape not only ourselves but also the relationships around us.
Motherhood came with a whirlwind of emotions I never fully anticipated. Before having my daughter, I wasn’t someone who dreamed of being a mom or felt an innate connection to children, despite growing up surrounded by nieces and nephews. It wasn’t until she was born—during the isolation of the COVID-19 pandemic—that I began to truly understand the depth and complexity of this role.
Those early days were tough. With my family miles away, my partner working long hours, and strict lockdown restrictions, I often felt lonely and overwhelmed. I was adjusting to life with a newborn in a brand-new city without a support system, trying to do everything “right” while feeling alone and like nobody truly appreciated all the effort I was making to hold it all together and navigate this entirely new role as a mom.
When we moved closer to friends and restrictions eased, I still grappled with the weight of trying to be the “perfect mom.” Moms would sometimes tell me, “How do you do it? You’re so calm!” and I’d smile and say something vague. But in my head, I’d think, “I don’t. I’m not. I do my best, but I lose it—a lot—especially when I’m exhausted.”
The truth is, I’ve always been someone who put others first—their needs, their comfort, and what had to get done—before myself. It was a pattern that carried into motherhood, where I felt guilty even considering my own needs. But over time, I realized that I couldn’t pour from an empty cup. I had to learn—and I’m still learning—to prioritize myself, to make space for my own well-being so that I could show up as the mom, partner, and person I want to be.
This is something I want every mom to know: it’s not selfish to take care of yourself. It’s necessary. When you prioritize your well-being, you’re not only nurturing yourself but also creating a stronger foundation for your family.
Becoming a mom has been the most transformative experience of my life. It taught me that it’s okay to ask for help, to prioritize my own well-being, and to embrace the messiness of this beautiful journey. I created EPIC Mom Coach to be a space where moms can feel seen, supported, and empowered.
EPIC stands for Empower, Purpose, Inspire, and Clarity—values I hold close to my heart and aim to share with every mom I work with. Whether you’re returning to work after maternity leave, navigating the chaos of motherhood, working to strengthen the connection with your partner, or just trying to find yourself again amidst the daily grind, I’m here to walk alongside you.
Motherhood is not about perfection, it’s about bringing out the best version of ourselves. Let's explore that and create something EPIC together.
With love,
Lenka
